We’re newlyweds. Enough said right. We got tired of doing what newlyweds do – well not completely. So we decided to do something productive. Being the uber nerds that we are, we decided to create a blog.

We’re both new teachers, so it just made sense to write about it. There are plenty of how to’s and lesson swap sites out there already. We really just wanted to do something different, so we decided to tell our own story. We have really different teaching philosophies, so it should make for an interesting read.

In order to preserve our jobs, we decided to remain relatively anonymous. While you’ll get the scoop on what happens in our lives, we felt it would be best if you didn’t know our full names or our schools. All names and locations in our stories have been changed in order to protect the innocent and/or jerks.

She’s pretty… Okay, so maybe I’m biased. Julia teaches Math at a High School. She is also the most awesome Volleyball coach ever! That’s her real passion. You’ve never seen anyone take High School volleyball so seriously. Her players are really lucky, because if anyone can get them prepared for athletic scholarship she can.

I’m a nerd. Not much more needs to be said. I teach Art at a High School, and I love it! I enjoy working on my own artwork as well. I tend to be very cerebral in my art, and I struggle with simplicity. I’m the type of person who can watch an entire season of Legend of the Seeker in one go and I average reading a book a week. Oh and did I mention that I’m a nerd?
